Privacy Policy

value.us is built to collect as little personal data as possible. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address or payment details. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
What we collect
- An anonymous browser ID. When you save a favourite, we store a random identifier (a UUID) in a cookie so we can remember your saved retailers on this browser. It is not linked to your identity and is not shared.
- Push notification subscriptions. If — and only if — you grant notification permission, your browser gives us a push “endpoint” and keys so we can send deal alerts for retailers you follow. We also store a short user-agent string. You can revoke this anytime in your browser settings.
- Click data (pseudonymised). When you click through to a retailer, we log the click for fraud-prevention and reporting. Your IP address and user-agent are one-way hashed with a salt that rotates daily before storage — we do not keep your raw IP address.
Why we collect it
Solely to provide the service: remember your favourites, send the alerts you asked for, and measure and protect outbound clicks. We do not sell personal data.
Your choices
- Favourites / the anonymous cookie: clear your browser cookies for value.us to remove the identifier and forget your favourites.
- Push alerts: revoke notification permission for value.us in your browser's site settings; we stop sending and mark the subscription expired.
Cookies
We use a single functional cookie (the anonymous favourites ID described above). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Visitors in the EU / UK / California
Because we hold so little data and no identifying information, most data-subject requests are satisfied by clearing your cookies and revoking push permission as above. For any other request, contact us below.
